Do I need an Expungement?

When you are charged with a crime, there is a record of the crime in the criminal justice system. If you are found "not guilty" of the charges or the charges are withdrawn or dismissed, you may be entitled to have the charges erased or expunged from your record.
Being found "not guilty" of charges is not enough to protect your reputation. Potential employers, loan officers and school administrators can still see that you were charged with the offense and, although you were acquitted of the charges, they may still hold against you that you were charged with the offense, regardless of the outcome.
By having your record expunged, the arrest, charges and outcome can all be erased from the system as if they never existed.
If you are looking to have your record expunged, contact an experiencedattorney today to discuss your options.

Employment Guide: Underage citations could hamper job search

Pittsburgh Attorney Frank Walker, who handles underage cases from students at Pitt, Duquesne, Robert Morris and Carlow, said that a citation can have a detrimental effect on students’ financial futures, as well.

“Students don’t realize the effects it has on their search for job,” he said.

In the law field, Walker said summary offenses such as underage citations could pose a problem when taking the bar exam, which asks test-takers if they’ve been convicted of any crimes.

“You may think in your mind you don’t have to report it — I was a minor,” Walker said. “It will appear to them if you answer ‘no’ that you were somewhat evasive.” - Pitt News
