Making a Case for Slip and Fall in Pennsylvania

In Pennsylvania, a store or business owner owes a duty of care to customers whom frequent their stores for business purposes. Such visitors are called invitees and the owner is required to inspect and maintain his premises free from dangerous conditions.

when clients are injured on the property of a business owner or corporation, the first response in defense to liability from the business owner is, "We were not aware of the condition, therefore we can not be held liable." The injured party thinks this is the end and never pursues the case. The injured party is instead left with a pile of medical bills and forced to endure a season of lost wages from missing work simply because they don't think they have a case.

This is why consulting with an attorney familiar with claims for premises liability is so important. An experienced attorney will fight back and request documents to prove that business owner, knew or should have known about the dangerous condition because it was their responsibility to inspect and keep the premises safe.

Charged with Homicide in Pittsburgh?

Every Criminal Charge in the Pennsylvania Code should be taken seriously. Whether a DUI, underage drinking or narcotics charge, a conviction can half life changing impact on your liberty. However, none of these charges can actually put your life in jeopardy like a charge of Homicide.

In Pennsylvania, a general count of Homicide encompasses five (5) charges: Murder 1, Murder 2, Murder 3, Voluntary Manslaughter, Involuntary Manslaughter. The maximum penalties range from 5 years in prison to a sentence of Death.

When citizens of the Commonwealth are choosing an attorney to defend a homicide case, special attention should be given to the experience of the attorney. Homicide cases are tedious, all consuming and require a specific attention to detail.

At Frank Walker Law, our attorneys are experienced homicide attorneys with results to support such claim. As a charter member of the Allegheny County Office of Conflict Counsel, Attorney Frank Walker has successfully tried numerous homicide cases, jury and non jury, to verdict. Additionally, attorney Walker has been appointed to represent homicide clients on appeal to both the Superior and Supreme Court of Pennsylvania.

It is no accident that many clients choose Frank Walker Law to represent their loved ones in all criminal matters, especially charges of Criminal Homicide.

First Weekend of Pittsburgh South Side Saturation Patrols = 19 arrests, 94 citations

After the Southside Saturation Police Detail was announced by the mayor, the results were instant: multiple criminal arrests and numerous patrons and visitors cited for traffic and non-traffic offenses on Pittsburgh South Side.

Equipped with both uniformed and undercover officers, the local police arrested and cited patrons for multiple offenses: traffic offenses, dui, underage drinking, fake id, public urination, disorderly conduct, public intoxication, simple assault and various other offenses.

With only one weekend into the new security measure and multiple arrests to report, it's safe to say that patrons should be on their best behavior when visiting the many establishments on the South Side. Additionally, plan ahead by locking in the number for a Taxi (Yellow Cab 412.321.8100) before hitting the town.
